The Poultry Federation 8th Annual Food Safety Conference scheduled to take place on March 31-April 1, 2020 at the Hilton Branson Convention Center in Branson, Missouri has been cancelled.
After careful deliberation, The Poultry Federation has decided to reschedule the 8th annual Food Safety Conference to a later date. The conference, scheduled to occur March 31 - April 1, 2020 would have brought together several hundred attendees, along with speakers from the entire United States. With the spread of COVID-19 cases and the warnings of additional cases, along with recommendations to avoid large meetings, The Poultry Federation Executive Committee and the Food Safety Planning Committee determined that proceeding with the event as scheduled would undermine efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
We do not take this decision lightly and seriously regret the inconvenience to our conference participants and attendees. Despite the cancellation of other meetings around the country, we had confidence until very recently that the Food Safety Conference would proceed as planned. The rapidly evolving public health situation is changing on a daily basis and we want to do our part in preventing the potential spread of this virus.
We are currently working with the Hilton Branson Convention Center in Branson, Missouri to find a date to reschedule the conference. We will notify registered attendees as soon as we have determined a new date. Those who wish to remain registered for the rescheduled event will not need to take further action.
If you have booked a hotel room, you will need to contact the hotel to cancel your reservation.
