Silvateam is on the move in the U.S., introducing its Silvafeed® brand, a range of selected plant extracts rich in bioactive substances. With the aim of supporting promotion, commercial presence and technical support, the Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Jim Gottsponer has recently joined its staff as Poultry Sales for the United States.
Jim brings a wide range of production and leadership experience to this role. Most recently, Jim served as Director of Live Operations for Liberty Free Range Purveyor, headquartered out of Northwest Arkansas. This operation specialized in the production of Free Range, GAP Compliant, Non-GMO fed broilers.
After receiving his B.S. in Agriculture Business from Arkansas Tech University, Jim began his 30 year professional career in the U.S. broiler industry. His career included various areas of broiler production at OK Foods in Fort Smith, Arkansas and Tyson Foods, Inc. in Russellville and Clarksville, Arkansas and Robards, Kentucky. Jim also spent seventeen of those years working at Cobb-Vantress in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. During this 30 year span, Jim held responsibilities in the areas of breeders, broilers, hatcheries, feed mills, live haul, and live production. Throughout his three decades in the industry, Jim has served in a number of industry organizations and committees, including as a board member for the Kentucky Poultry Federation and presided over the Hatchery Session of the Arkansas Poultry Symposium. Jim and his wife Marilyn, live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They own a poultry and cattle farm in Northwest Arkansas where they raise pullets for a local integrator.
